Home, Hospital and Healing!

Well my friends, I am finally able to get back to my blogging. Just spent 2 weeks in the hospital. Am now enjoying being home. I had a new laptop with me but it would not let me log into my websites.
Have had quite a September but am thrilled to say back on the road to recovery.
2011 is a banner year for sickness for me, and I am blessed to be able to overcome with help of friends, family, and good doctors. My natural healing has come in handy but now it is time to add a little western medicine.
I had 3 bone lesions where the MM (multiple myloma) became active this year, and ate a nice hole thru my radius, humerus and femur. The first one radiation was used and was effective. However the downside was the radius did not heal after radiation.l The cure of a rod not available, so I am left with a very slow healing radius bone. The doctors felt that they would not chance another non healing bone so they put a rod in my humerus (Upper arm bone) Went very well but they found another hole in my femur, so we had a rod put in. The care for the second surgery was less than optimal and the nursing staff, with their rough handling, contributed to breaking my collar bone. (I won't bore you with what I went thru but modern medicine is still barbaric at times, especially when relying on sub standard care.)
The hospital refused to believe the bone was broken, took an xray and said no broken bone. 24 hours later, after discharge a follow up xray showed the break.
Very painful and now I have half an arm to work with.
The rod in the femur went well for 5 days, then i COULD NOT walk, so back to the hospital. My surgeon does not practice in my usual hospital, but the ER decided I should go to the cancer unit where I usually get treated. (I was thankful for that)
2 weeks bed rest, physical therapy, and no stress, got me back on my feet. some femur pain but at least I am operational again. not easy dressing and having a shower with no arm movement but I have home health 3 days a week with some PT 3 times a week. Have hired extra help, but the pocket book suffers.
Now to the cause and cure. I was fortunate that the doctors allowed me to use all my natural remedies and supplements, while in the hospital. I have 7 more radiation treatments due. I am putting myself on a strict diet of daily fresh vege juices, liquid calcium, magnesium vit D3, to heal my bones. I am adding vit K 7 (One has to be careful using this as it thickens the blood but my POlymva has thinning the blood effects) I am on the curcumin , liver cleanse and other remedies. I am taking all in moderation as one can get too much of these things.
I have consented to a short dose of Revlamid, ???Dex if half dose, and see what happens. I need to gt the MM back in its box. 7 years of hardly any problems is pretty good.
The Polymva, cuts the side effects of Revlamid without interfering with its job. Not a fan of dex (We don't get along but will try for a limited time) I am starting a diary and log to see what I do, how often and how the improvements show up.
I have a big wedding to attend in Australia and I will not miss it. (January 2012)
I met many wonderful people in the hospital and if one starts to feel sorry for oneself, then look around, many are worse off.
I thank family, friends and strangers for their prayers and encouragement. This is what healing oneself is all about. Having faith and using it on a daily basis.
My myeloma body missed me. I pray for all those who are suffering at this time. I am researching a new group of help aids for building bones and will post here. Hopefully I can get more blogging done and pass on much needed information.
Take care all!!!!!! Be Well
